"Where Faith Feels Like Family"

Faith Baptist Missions Outreach

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20 NKJV

Faith Baptist regularly participates in several mission and outreach opportunities, to include Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, through the North American Missions Board, and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, through the International Mission Board and the Southern Baptist Convention. Each fall, we collect shoe boxes filled with hygiene items, toys, books, etc, to be sent to children around the world as an opportunity to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, through Samaritan’s Purse.

Each Christmas we provide a Live Nativity for our community to come up close to see the baby Jesus in the manger and the stable animals in order to bring us back to the real meaning of Christmas. Faith Baptist produces an annual passion play, entitled The Cross, during Easter weekend. The community is encouraged to come up close and experience the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus for our sins.

A portion of our regular offerings collected through Faith Baptist are sent to the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia for missions work.

Faith Baptist also participates in local outreach, as the opportunities arise. We enjoy loving on our own neighbors right here within the communities of Mathews and Gloucester, along with larger outreach to the Commonwealth, our great nation, and the world.
