Christmas Backpacks

We have a new holiday ministry this year to benefit impoverished home churches. Faith Baptist Church participated in the Christmas backpack drive sponsored by the Southern Baptist Convention of Virginia. Most backpacks will go to Appalachian communities or newly planted, impoverished churches.

Like the shoeboxes, participants get an empty backpack with a packing list and tag to mark boy or girl and age range. The packs are filled with everything from snacks and school supplies to Christian literature, and of course, prayers for the recipient.

We are blessed to take part in this ministry to make sure God’s Word is spread within our state as much as it is across the globe!
