Linda Britton

I was born in Philadelphia, earned my doctoral degree in School Psychology in 1981. Migrated to West Virginia to begin a long 40- year career. Moved from WV to Fredericksburg, VA in 1991. My husband Ken went to be with the Lord in 2008. I remarried in 2018 to James Hodges. After I retired in 2021, Jim and I made a permanent move to our waterfront home in Foster (Mathews County). My husband was an avid fisherman, so we enjoyed spending weekends here on our pier before our permanent move. We enjoyed our retirement here together until Jim joined the Lord in the spring of 2023.

I enjoy reading, cross-stitching, living a healthy lifestyle, and spending time with friends. My main enjoyment is baking, especially cookies and novelty cake decorating. I adore animals of all kinds, but I have always had a special place in my heart for cats. I am presently the human servant to three tomcats. They couldn’t be more spoiled than they already are!

I joined Faith Baptist Church in July, 2023 and presently serve as the church’s Treasurer. It is true, “Faith feels like family!”
